Still happens with CVS-HEAD 20031028 (3.1.93).
I suggest marking Bug 60316 as a duplicate of this as it looks to me to be the same problem (overdoze of graphics and konqueror chokes X).

Weird thing, is that this happens even if the tab that is loading the graphics is not displayed ! hope it means something to someone as I sure as hell don't understand it.

My system is a P4 1.5GHz, 256MB, GeForce 2MX.
