I wasn't talking about creating images, but to record existing images onto 
flash drives, because currently people have to 1st find out the device ID of 
the flash drive (/dev/sdb1 or whatever) and 2nd then use the "dd" command to 
write the image onto the flash drive.
That's very, very bad (esp. the part about finding out the device ID) and even 
I as "semi-pro" have always trouble doing that.

I don't think that adding support for creating such disk images is necessary 
in the near future, but as I said: Now with KDE's official "Plasma Netbook 
Reference Platform", IMHO we need a neat GUI tool for recording disk images to 
flash drives when the SC 4.5 release arrives.
