Hi,

Two friends are currently in Dedougou (Burkina Faso) for two months,
setting up a room with computers for a school. Of course, it's under
GNU/Linux, and of course, GCompris is part of the story:

For the people who do not speak french, here is a quick translation
(with my fairly limited and broken english) :

« Here is a post (or rather a picture) dedicated to the main developer
of GCompris!

 <<picture>>

For the beginners, GCompris is a free educational software suite
dedicated to childrens (but is also liked quite a lot by olders) to
learn using the computer, or train in mathematics, french, sciences,
logic, etc.

A true gold mine!

We have here a picture of Flore, 7 years old, but we could also have
shown the picture of Pierre (more than 35 years) who used GCompris to
learn how to use the mouse !!! »

The setup is a server, with ~10 thin clients, using LTSP. You can find
more informations on their project blog, http://dedougou.blogspot.com.
I've Cc'ed one of the two people, so that you can ask him questions if
you want to (feedback on GCompris, etc.).

Sincerly,

Thomas
