[gcompris-devel] compile errors with gcompris4.1;undefined reference to `ao_initialize'

I keep getting the followinf error when trying to run make:

I have the following relevant (I think) installed:
libogg-dev      1.0.0-1woody1   
libogg0            1.0.0-1woody1                 
libao-dev     0.8.3-1woody1                 
libao0      0.7.0-3                       
libao2     0.8.3-1woody1      

I'm running debian woody with gnome2.2 backported.

Can anyone see  what I'm missing?
