Frank, first welcome aboard.

We are currently suffuring badly from a bug in the libgnomecanvas. This
library is our way to draw to the screen. The bug is that sometimes, it
doesn't refresh the screen.

We made several changes in gcompris to bypass this bug since nobody at
gnome seems to care about it (we filled a bug report).

For you, the simplest way is to use the latest release of gcompris which
is 3.2.

If you want to stick to this release, you can blindly click again on a
supposed icon position after the 'nothing happen' and you will enter the
game.

Bruno.
