It's clearly unintuitive to require clicking on the thumb.
Once you decided which is the correct answer you click on it - nothing
happens ... hmmm what did I wrong ... then (if you are used to gcompris)
you decide to give the thumb a try (or hit enter if you're more familiar
with gcompris' habits and hate confirmation clicks (like me)).
This always annoyed me about the advanced color game (and more games
which are different to look up now, remember actually I'm unable to play
gcompris because of gnome canvas 2.2)
