I've built GCompris and libassetml RPMs for both fedora core 1 and RedHat 9, 
they are available from 
http://yum.bravegnuworld.com/yum/fc/1/RPMS.bgw/ and
http://yum.bravegnuworld.com/yum/rh/9/RPMS.bgw/
respectively. I've written a front-end script that attempts(loose 
interpretation of attempt here) to detect what sound system it should 
use(esd, artsd, or oss) and start it with the proper option.
