[gcompris-devel] Hi (problems with gcompris internationalization and lt.po)

Hi,

I'm sending full lithuanian translation (lt.po) and have some suggestions as
usual:

As Gcompris is quite a big program (and has many bugs :( ) it would be good
and usefull to use Bugzilla.

I've found the mistakes (older mistakes are not fixed :( and still are many
problems with compiling from CVS):

1. The music .../share/gcompris/boards/sounds/intro.ogg doesn't play if the
set language contains no sounds (doesn't exist language directory in
.../share/gcompris/boards/sounds/) because Gcompris searches the sounds in
.../share/gcompris/boards/sounds/lt/../intro.ogg if lithuanian language is set

2. If in the game "missing letter" I press 'Thumb-OK' for the few times at
once quickly the game goes crazy. (the game remembers the presses even if
you go to the next level or go out of the board, the unhappy flower still
appears on the screen for lots of times).

3. For making the game really internationalized, I have to change the last
key '-u' to '-p' in 'aclocal.m4' and/or 'configure' files string
$(INTLTOOL_MERGE) $(top_srcdir)/po $< 
 After doing it the strings won't be converted to UTF8 and the method I've
suggested in my earlier letter will work properly - Gcompris will correctly
display accented  (international) characters just after changing two last *
with correct encoding when the font is being loaded (function gdk_font_load)
ex. in ...//src/boards/menu.c lines 407, 408, 409:
gdk_font = gdk_font_load ("-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--*-180-*-*-*-*-*-*");
must be
gdk_font = gdk_font_load ("-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--*-180-*-*-*-*-*-13")
or gdk_font = gdk_font_load
("-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--*-180-*-*-*-*-iso8859-13")
if I want Gcompris correctly display symbols in lithuanian language
(and gdk_font = gdk_font_load
("-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--*-180-*-*-*-*-koi8-r") if I want in russian 

Also I want to ask why the lithuanian words I've sent Bruno aren't in CVS ?
