Looks like the old libcairo2 / render issue.

Try disabling render . . .

client <configure(button)><general(tab)
<use custom settings(checkbox)><settings(button)>
<performance(lower section)><disable render extension(check)>

. . . a test, and see if it goes away.

It's was an issue with SUSE too, but not with Fritz's opennx client

only the nomachine one, so give Fritz's "a whirl" as well . . .
