If you install the
linux nxclient from nomachine
on
your FreeNX server
(and make sure /usr/bin/nxdialog calls it for the "pop up dialog"
instead of using xmessage) then it should work ok . . . .

If you use the sample nxshadowacl from the web-site as you did
at first (and update it with your user id) then it should work . . .
