Thankyou Brian.
Now, after reading the EULA, I see I had jumped to conclusions.
The press release http://www.nomachine.com/news-read.php?idnews=331 does say
version 4 will be closed(although it does not explicitly say 'what'
software).
However the EULA definitely states that a good deal of the software is under
the GNU Public License.

I would like to know if nomachine really intends to close the gnu licensed
software or if it has just been a misunderstanding on our(my) part.
