Just wanted to ask the list what the thoughts are on NoMachine's going closed source and
whether that impacts this project in any way.

Not being lawyers there was another NX oriented group that thinks NoMachine has the
ability to change their licensing for existing open source code related to NX.

I checked their EULA and to me it reads that only a certain set of their programs are covered under
commercial copyright.

NoMachine Commercial Software consists of the following computer programs
that have been developed by NoMachine:
- nxserver
- nxnode
- nxmanager
- nxclient
- nxapplet
- nxstat
But no one had a good answer for "what about the rest"... as the EULA seems to say they stay open source.

Just curious of the thoughts of the developers of freenx?

thanks

Thankyou Brian.
Now, after reading the EULA, I see I had jumped to conclusions.
The press release http://www.nomachine.com/news-read.php?idnews=331 does say version 4 will be closed(although it does not explicitly say 'what' software).
However the EULA definitely states that a good deal of the software is under the GNU Public License.

I would like to know if nomachine really intends to close the gnu licensed software or if it has just been a misunderstanding on our(my) part.
