I don't know if this is related to the keyboard bug that affected recent
Fedora and Ubuntu versions (don't know what distro your on), but maybe
you could check the NoMachine site and compare the last nxlibs version with
the one you have installed - this could serve one purpose; to see if this
issue is related or not.
I'm sorry I can't provide any better help, but I haven't had the fortune to
get acquainted with Xmodmap yet :-)
