[FreeNX-kNX] NX in higher latency environment

Hello @ all,

I'm actually evaluating freeNX on Linux against Citrix on Solaris. Within a
LAN environment, its no big deal, there are no really big differences
regarding performance or usability.
But I've also to deal with remot/home users spread around europe, which have
to use freeNX fom remote locations (e.g. home office) through VPN. With this
setup, round-trip-times of 250-350 ms are not uncomon.

Using a WAN emulator (WanEm) with DSL Settings (Speed: 1024/256 kb/s,
Latency: 300ms, Packet Loss: 0,1%) it was quite bad, using NX in comparison
to Citrix. When moving windows arond, there is a quite noteble delay which
makes it hard to drop windows where you want it. Also writing and clicking
around seems to be handled worse then in Citrix. Using connection delay's <
180ms there are not really notable differences between Citrix and NX.
>180ms, Citrix seems to be more usable for me.

The NX Client itself was startet with the proper connection profile (DSL).

NX is advertised, to handle high latencies in a quite effective way, so I
wonder how to get it to do so.
Do you have any ideas what I did wrong or waht I cold configure in NX to be
more effective in higher latency connections?

Best Regards
Markus
