The session directory is created in ~/.nx when you start a session. Make
sure SESSION_LOG_CLEAN is set to 0 so that the session directory is not
removed at the end of the session.

On my system, node.conf is in /usr/NX/etc/node.conf.

Try using rpm -ql freenx |grep node.conf on your fedora system to find
out where the package puts this file. It is the configuration file for
freenx, and if you can't find it, then you really are going to get
nowhere.

It surely can't take 3 years to get freenx working :-) I got it working
in a few days without knowing anything about nx. I suggest you keep
trying a bit longer.

I suggest you either use freenx, or vnc which can be quite good for this
kind of application. If you can't figure out either of those then I
guess you need to buy nx from nomachine with support.
