[FreeNX-kNX] Sponsoring FreeNX/QtNX?

Hi all,

we're a small company that uses the NX technology heavily. and would 
like to contribute something back. We try to participate in all OSS 
projects we depend on by reporting bugs, providing patches, writing 
documentation and by doing translations.

In case of FreeNX/QtNX we would also like to make small monthly donation 
  with no strings attached. Do you think this kind of sponsoring is possible

a) technically
b) without harming the project (in Debian Dunc-tank style)

Also, would it actually help in the project go forward?
