[FreeNX-kNX] Problem with freenx (APPLICATION_LIBRARY_PRELOAD has invalid value).

After installing freenx on my RHEL 3.0 and trying it I figured out that I can't use it.
The client always times out and gives the following error:

On the server side I could not see anything in the logs, nxserver.log , (I guessed I was not looking at the right places) but when running the check command
I get the following error:

Any idea what is wrong and how I can fix it?
