I'm not familiar with Arch Linux, but I think they have a pretty good
web-forum/wiki with FreeNX info on Arch.
The error above can come from many sources, here are some starting
points to look at:
1) Do you use SELinux? If so, try to disable it, or set in permissive
mode.
2) Do you connect through a firewall/router with portforwarding? If so,
check that you use SSL in the client (connection properties).
3) If you have console access on the server, try to start the nxagent
locally first, and see if you get any errors. If this starts, then you
should look at network/firewall issues. (see this mail for info:
http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/freenx-knx/2005-February/000815.html)
4) In the node.conf file, try setting the NX_LOG_LEVEL=5 and look at the
file /var/log/nxserver.log and see if you get any hints to what causes
the errors.
5) Look in the home folder of the user (both client and server) for a
session file and error file. It's in /home/<username>/.nx/<session-id>/
6) Look at the pdf-file at the bottom of this page for more info:

If you still can't figure it out, please send logfiles on this list with
info regarding what you have found out so far.
Regards,
Terje
