[FreeNX-kNX] Problem with nxsetup/sshd on OpenSuSE 10.3

Hi,

I'm trying to setup FreeNX on OpenSuSE 10.3.  I'm using the versions
supplied by SuSE:

FreeNX: 0.7.0-21
NX: 2.10.0-35

My OpenSSH daemon is also part of the distribution, version is: 4.6p1-58

nxsetup itself seemed to run fine, it is the authentication of the user nx
that causes problems.  It leads me to believe that there may be a problem
with my ssh config - the only thing that leads me away from that belief is
that I have a VM running OpenSuSE 10.3 with an identical sshd_config to
the problem machine, but the VM actually works (the VM lives on the system
that I want to connect from rather than the one I want to connect to
though).

I'd appreciate any help/advice on this as I can't think what's going
wrong.  Below is the output of nxsetup/sshd with -ddd (I was tailing the
log in the background while nxsetup was running), and after that is an
attempt to use nxssh (with -vvv).  This gives the same sshd output as when
nxsetup was run.  I also tried the nomachine key with nxsetup, but that
gave the same result.

A couple of other things I tried:

1) passwd -d nx (as root) - This just stopped me getting the password
prompt when public-key authentication failed.
2) Compared the permissions in /var/lib/nxserver/home/.ssh against the
working version on the VM - these were identical.
3) I tried the suggestions given by nxsetup also (after it couldn't talk
to the server), none made a difference (and they diverged from the setup
on the working installation).
