I'm having a problem connecting from Windows XP client, ver. 3.0.0-78,
to freenx server (on "kitchen computer") installed from latest Seveas
Ubuntu Feisty package (0.6.0-0~seveas2). The session file contains:
Warning: Couldn't open option file '/home/harrington/.nx/C-kitchen
computer-1000-8E027D75A1A685ADBE307AEAE2B9A35D/options'. Error is 'No
such file or directory'.
The session generated a folder: /home/harrington/.nx/C-kitchen
computer-1000-8E027D75A1A685ADBE307AEAE2B9A35D. It does not contain a
file /options. The only things it contains are the session file and an
empty folder named /pids.
I have attached the client messages copied to a file (Nomachine
client.odt), as well as the session and nxserver.log files.
There was a post on Aug. 31 from Fabian Franz referring to an error
caused by the server trying to resume a previous session when a recent
version Nomachine client is used with freenx. He provided a patch, but
I can't figure out where the patch should be applied. I'd be very
grateful if someone would help me solve this problem and, if the
solution is Herr Franz's patch, then give me instructions about how to
apply it. thanks.
