The NX libs clearly can work under OSX since there's a Mac client. Whether
anyone's ever managed to compile them separately for a Mac is another matter
entirely. FreeNX is a written in shell scripts which should run fine too.
There may be some dependencies that need compiling if they aren't already
present, but most of those are gnu tools anyway.
BUT...
NX accelerates remote X displays. As i understand it Apple don't use X for
their display, though you can add support for X under OSX. I suspect NX on a
Mac would let you run X apps but not those native to the Apple GUI. This is
probably not what you want, but if you've decided to ditch the native Mac GUI
and use kde or gnome it may be just the job ;-)
Given how little time I've spent in front of a Mac this could be completely
wrong though...
