I have not had the pleasure of playing with !M Web companion tool yet, but I found another solution for myself.

In my case I wanted to use the win32 nxclient on a Windows XP machine at our university computer, where I don't have administrative priviledges. The nxclient installer would bail out with a message stating "You're not the adminstrator, so I'm not going to install this".

It's a dumb check and you don't need any administrative priviledges ones installed, nor access to special folders/registry.

So the trick is to install to a usb drive at home, plug it in (in my case at my university computer) and fireup nx client.

Warning: People look quite astonished from time to time, if your running linux at a windows xp computer ;-)
