i've tried to do so with some success!
NX is really better in term of bandwidth than the vmware-console!
I've tested VMware and NX on a bi-Opteron processor with 12Go of RAM.
I could run up to 40 users in the same time with freeNX...

Detaching-Re-attaching is a little bit buggy in NX...

The major problem is for printing :  Vmware -> NX -> Client
I've use samba and a pdf printer to do this!
