At the moment x86-64 architecture or any other "real" 64bit is not supported.

Some IBM architects said that some datastructures were not 64-bit safe, but I 
don't remember which.

I do not have access to a "real" 64 bit machine, although I guess I could try 
to build / debug it on the OpenPower machines, but at the moment I want to 
give some other tasks more priority.
