[FreeNX-kNX] smbclient and nxclient

Quick question about nxclient.  

In setting up nxclient 1.5.0 on a Thinstation terminal 
( http://thinstation.sf.net ) I noticed that nxclient needs smbclient to look 
at the local smb shares.  Is smbclient needed for anything else?  Does nx use 
smbclient as part of the smb tunneling over ssh?
