Face tag mouse-over behavior

Hi Tom,
Do you mind sending me a sample image with the double face-tag in the metadata?

I increased the size of the face region in 8.7.0 and it sounds like the overlap detection logic isn’t working. Your sample would be very useful for debugging.

Cheers,
Mike

I have several files with face tags that, when moused-over, show two boxes around the face. Attempting to alleviate this, I removed one of the face regions from the metadata using exiftool. The two boxes still appear, so I tried syncing the metadata with the databases. Same behavior. I don’t really want to go through each file and remove the rogue tag by hand, because even if I do and subsequently perform a face recognition scan, more duplicates will appear. I have automated the duplicate removal process; how can I convince digiKam that now there really is only one region for that face in the metadata?
