OK, I reproduced the issue with a different person -- for whom I have tons of
pictures. I had mistakenly entered the tag name with a trailing space, it
seems. I used the right-click menu "Properties" item to change the name; i.e.
from "A " to "A". The next detection showed pictures in "A ".
I moved them all to "A", deleted "A ", rebuilt the training data. And now
pictures do show up correctly in "A".
So I believe that your workaround does indeed work.
As an aside, maybe it would be better to trim leading and trailing spaces for
tag names? At least, I can't think of a use case for such spaces...
