Hi,
Your digiKam installed is probably a Snap bundle which has limitation to
access to computer contents, as the executable to run.
You need to tune the digiKam rights with the Snap. I don't use it and we do
not support it. We prefer the AppImage bundle that we provide. It's more
universal and do not restrict the application rights (just download one
file, turn on as executable and start it).
