No sound on videos?

Hi all I posted the below on Reddit, but didn't manage to get any help, so
just posting here too in case somebody has some advice and can help.

Hi, Im loving Digikam for organising my photos and I now just started to
try using it with a Mac as I am looking for a central place to manage
everything. I imported a bunch of videos and was about to start tagging
them when I noticed all of them have no sound. I checked the files in
finder and there the sound is ok, but in Digikam everything plays without
sound.
Have I missed something? Any idea what is wrong??

I would be so grateful for any help as I am trying to organise my library
before my daughter's graduation and I have thousands of files to go
through...
