Renaming raw/jpeg pairs

When renaming images with sequential numbers, is it possible to get it to
recognise raw/jpeg pairs, so that the same image is given the same number
but with different extensions?

I've looked at all the options and the documentation but couldn't see
anything, so sorry if I'm missing it.
