Hi,
I am running Digikam 8.3.0 on Windows 10, and I have just tried to
export some images to my local hard drive. The images are physically
stored on an external NAS (Synology D211+)
I consulted the online handbook, and I selected the three images. I
clicked on Export>Export to local storage, and the window displayed
containing a document icon, but with no file name. I deleted the
document icon, and tried dragging and dropping the selected files into
the panel. The cursor showed that I had selected three images and had a
"+" sign in it. When I released the mouse button the files were not
dropped into the panel.
I tried the same process using the Tools side bar, but the same thing
happened.
In the end,I was forced to use the "Add" button to navigate to exactly
the same folder that was showing in the main window, and re-select the
three image, which were then displayed in the export pane. The import
then worked.
The online help does not specifically say that drag and drop is enabled,
but the cursor icon intimates that it is activated.
Before I report this as a bug, has anyone experienced this issue?
