Issue viewing .mov files in preview

Seeking support if anyone has advice. When I load an MOV file in preview,
it plays and I can hear sound but the whole video is green. I uploaded an
.AVI file to test another format and that is working fine.

I downloaded the standalone QtAV player and the MOV files play fine on
there, which the digikam FAQ suggested doing to confirm I'm not missing
some ffmpeg codec

New user, just downloaded digikam 8.4
Running macOS 12.7.5
