Auto Updater looks for .sha256 files and not .sig files (at least on OSX)

When checking for updates in Digikam, the updater looks for .sha256
files when downloading.  I notice that all the signature files end in
.sig in the download directory.   If the naming is changing, maybe some
symlinks are needed during the cut over period?
