copying files by dragging

I've tried this on my setup and don't see this behaviour.

    Thunar version 4.18.4

    digikam appimage 8.30

    xfce version 4.18

    Debian 12

The fact that it isn't happening to me with the 8.3.0 appimage might 
suggest there's another factor at play. I had a look through the 
preferences and couldn't see anything relevant. It's puzzling.
