Kde environment becomes unresponsive after launching Digikam appimage

Hi,

I'm writing here in case someone has seen anything similar because I'm not sure this is a Digikam related bug or not.

I'm using Kubuntu 22.04 LTS. For the last few weeks, when I launch Digikam, the whole Kde environment becomes unresponsive. As in the kde panel and the desktop become frozen and only the foreground apps work. I noticed when that happens, the/usr/bin/kded5 process is using 100% of the CPU. The only way to fix the issue is removing the ~/.local/share/mime directory. But it doesn't happen all the time. I believe. It first started happening when using the weekly built appimage for digikam 8.2 or 8.3, and it happened again today with the Qt6 version of 8.4. The thing is, it doesn't all the time. Maybe when a new version of Digikam is "installed¨ (via appimagelauncher)?

Does that make any sense?
