How to read metadata from files in folders and sub-folders ?

Hi,

I answer without double check with practical tests, but have a look at 
these two alternatives if they meet your needs:

1. Menu > Album > Read meta data from files again

2. Tools > Maintenance > Sync Metadata and data base (be careful to 
choose the right direction in the drop down and plus settings in the 
pop-up.
