DigiKam crashes after startup assistant

Update:

Somehow it is my user that is blocking digikam from starting.
I created a new “fresh” user and digikam is running there flawless.

Any idea which settings could cause this?
It seems odd that digikam is blocked on my admin user but not on a normal user.
