I am sorry for taking so long. I needed to get on my wife's mac and also
do debug there. The same lines are on the mac debug:
digikam.coredb: Core database: makeUpdates 15 to 15
digikam.database: Creating new Location "/" uuid
"networkshareid:?mountpath=/Volumes/irving/don/allphotos"
digikam.database: location for "/Volumes/irving/don/allphotos" is
available false
digikam.general: Allowing a cache size of 400 MB
digikam.thumbsdb: ThumbDB SelectThumbnailSetting val ret = 0
So after this, my wife added the allphotos directory again and so it
showed two, then she deleted one, whether it was the old or new, the
pictures now load on the mac.
So we exited the mac and did the same on windows, added and deleted the
directory and after some time I could see the photos on windows but Mac
changed to a windows directory and won't load.
At one point on earlier releases this did work, other than the annoying
locale message.
I will take both systems up to the pre-release of 8.0.0. I do have a
question though. Her macbook is a 2013 build and is on Catalina
10.15.7. Will 8.0.0 work on a system this old?
