[digiKam-users] Keyword hierarchy

Peter,

Unfortunately, I didn't keep a track of the details of my search, which
is strange, I usually do. What I remember is that when I decided to use
hierarchical tags, a few months ago, I gathered the names of the free
image organizers I could use (I wouldn't even try Picasa, for example)
and I checked how they implemented tag hierarchy (if they implemented
it). I reached the conclusion that DigiKam's way of doing it (hierarchy
elements separated by slashes) was pretty common. Of course my little
study was completely empirical, and anyhow, this wouldn't be of any use
if you chose to switch to one of the softwares (however rare) which
don't understand DigiKam's way of doing it.
