[digiKam-users] Question: Filter pictures / export result keeping album hierarchy / convert pictures to jpg and embed available xmp metadata

Dear Digikam users,

I have a lot lot scanned tiff images, properly tagged and sorted into
hierarchical albums. All metadata in organized in corresponding xmp files
only (and not in the tiff files). The folder hierarchy looks like:



2021

  20210101_new_year

    1.tiff

    1.xmp

    2.tiff

    2.xmp

  20221224_christmas

    3.tiff

    3.xmp

    4.tiff

    4.xmp



Now I would like to

1. filter the album list, e.g. by persons tags (works perfectly)

2. export the filter result keeping the folder hierarchy (possible?) and

3. convert all pictures to jpg and embed available metadata from the xmp
files into the jpg files (no idea how to achieve)



The result should look like:



2021

  20210101_new_year

    2.jpg (available xmp metadata, e.g. geo coordinates, are embedded into
the jpg file)

  20221224_christmas

    4.jpg (available xmp metadata, e.g. geo coordinates, are embedded into
the jpg file)



Any hints and tips how to achieve steps 2 & 3 are very welcome.
