[digiKam-users] how to import new pictures from Android

Ok, under Windows, some parts are not yet implemented.

1/ Gphoto2 (MTP driver) : this library is not yet ported officially under
Windows. I received a Git Merge Request to cross compile code under Linux
for Windows (like all the rest of digiKam for Windows), but i don't find
yet the time to review.

2/ device detection as under Linux : KDE::Solid does not yet support this.

==> if MTP protocol is used to communicate with the device, it's not
recognized as a UMS device. As MTP is not yet supported under Windows with
digiKam, no way.

==> if you find a way to switch from MTP to UMS, well Windows will attach
the device somewhere on the system. Find the path, and under digiKam, use
the Import/Folder... option from the main menu.
