for vlamacek
Thanks for immediate guidance, it could have taken me weeks to
accidentally click on a running presentation and witness it stop and offer
image swap for each click. Confirming that is available influences me to
use DK for simple presentation.
However I would like to add creation date to each slide. It seems
only filename and comment field can be displayed. Does anyone know a means
to embed date into the presentation?
Interesting that date can be added to a thumbnail view but not the larger
"Preview" or full screen.

For Remco:
I need DK for the search tools and once I have used those tools to tag
and choose an image set I prefer to use the simplest presentation. I will
be using search tools to prepare a list and it seems the gateway to savinig
a list (inXML URL format) is to open Presentation after devising a list.
Although I find the search tools sometimes behaving unexpectedly I can at
least save the text list and then add to the list.
If I try to use some alternate presentation tool I will have to learn
how to feed it the list(s)
So the quality of presentation depends on good searches among 1800 images
which depends on good tagging categories.
Once I have a list of files in a presentation It does appear that I
can sort them in the presentation window by drag and drop.. That is almost
all I need for a simple presenation.
I very much want to have file creation date in preview or
presentation and it can be configured to showup only for thumbnails 9and
thumbnails are not used for presenations. I did try zooming the thumbnail
view which enlarged until each thumbnail would occupy most of the window
region....but the resolution is so poor for thumbnail that the larger image
is not useable as a presentation image.
I am hopeful to use good tagging and search to prepare presenations
,,,then save them as lists....and hope that there is a way to present the
date along with filename and comments....tags seem to show only in the
configuration of thumbnails
