No such issues with any other video player I have used on these files. I am aware of the capability to use, within DK, on an item by item basis, an external player ( for example, I often use VLC with silky smooth experience on the same files), but that defeats one of the very strong features of DigiKam, which is highly integrated functionality to support seamless management of all digital media (both photo and video). In my work flow, a story consists of a sequence of photos with interspersed short movies.

Hence, a question: are other Windows users having these kinds of issues, and if there are any without, I’d appreciate any pointers on the configuration/HW they use.

Hi,

Same here.
Windows 10 Pro.
Files are stored in a SAS drive with plenty of bandwidth.
DK7.2 works as expected, 7.3 stutters badly.
Files are played as they should with any other video player.

Iñigo.
