[digiKam-users] Database Configuration - Type SQLite only

Hi,
The digiKam 7.3.0 version I installed does not let me choose
any other database than SQLite. I would like to use MariaDb
instead. I have read details here:
https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/digikam-doc/digikam/using-setup.html#using-setup-database

Is this the correct behaviour or did I overlook something ?
I joined a small printscreen to illustrate the behaviour in context,
hoping this is ok with the mailing list rules.

Using digiKam 7.3.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 installed with:
sudo snap install digikam
[sudo] password for dude:
digikam 7.3.0 from KDE✓ installed

MariaDb database also installed and running.

Thanks for any direction to docs or FAQ I might have missed,
