Well, that's the problem when the compatible file name option is used. So 
BASENAME.xmp, then the XMP fits both BASENAME.jpg and BASENAME.rw2. Then just 
switch back to BASENAME.EXT.xmp. There is no other solution. Or you can save 
the RAW files in a different path / subfolder.
