[digiKam-users] how to import from smartphone

Hi all

I have a  smartphone samsung with a card on which photos are stored and 
using DK7.4 on windows 10.
what is the procedure to proceed with the import ? how to add the 
samsung as a camera (seems not connected to PC as an external drive)?

another question, I tried to look at the 
https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-users/ to find any feedback on my 
question but didn't find a searh engine , unless openning the archives 
month by monts and using the search of the browser. is there such engine 
somewhere ?
