[digiKam-users] DK 7.2 and face tags

The last time I looked at face tags was on DK 5.6. It took forever to
run (30,000+ images at the time) and the identification was less than
50%.

I seem to remember  Gilles talking about some significant
improvements coming to DK7.2. Is it still on the table? and what kind
of improvements would that be?
