[digiKam-users] Overwriting existing photos?

Hi,

When moving files to an album that already contains photos with the same
filename, I get this dialog:

It has the options
1: Rename automatically
2: Continue
3: OVerwrite automatically
4: Cancel

It is unclear to me what "Continue" does. Does anyone know?

What I would really like is a comparison dialog.
For example, if the source and destination of all selected files are
identical (ie. each file is exactly the same file/has the same hash), then
I would like to know this and have the option to just delete the source
files. Because there is no need to overwrite if they are indeed the same.

If only a subset of files exists already, I would love to have a list of
those files and also be able to compare the images of each. For example: do
they have the same resolution, filesize, etc. Even see the images
side-by-side.

And then I would love to be able to decide actions for each file
individually. Maybe I want to rename some of them and maybe even be able to
decide the new name.

What do you think?
