The problem of incorrect sorting for strings is known in the AppImage. We have
a problem loading the locale. So far, this has not been solved. A native
digiKam version or the Windows version do not have this problem. You may be
able to try the new Flatpak from digiKam. You can also change the sorting to
date under Menu-> View.
