[digiKam-users] [digiKam-Users} Digikam-6.4.0 Failure to add windows library to collection.

Running on a Windows 10 system. Digikam-6.4.0
So in the Configure window I selected Collections and then used Add 
Collection.
I then selected the required library and all appears to be good.
The library appears with a library icon with a plus on it, and the 
correct full library name appeared on the right. I then clicked OK. A 
pop-up window appeared almost straight away
"It was not possible to add a collection for the following path"
and then the path I had just requested.
The library I was attempting to add was
"C:\Users\Ian McCarthy\Pictures"
does the space in the name matter? Other names with spaces in appear to 
work.
Afterwards if I go back to add collections  the local name has appeared 
and its file name is "F:\Users\Ian McCarthy\Pictures"

I discovered that the library was read only so I altered that but this 
made no difference.

Any idea's what I'm doing wrong?
